We link with Whiteheath Infant and Nursery school in many different ways.  For example:

Subject Links

Our Deputy Headteachers, Maths and English Leads meet up to look at the curriculum to ensure progression of skills and knowledge from Key Stage One to Key Stage 2. 

Reading Links

Our Year 5 children read with Year 1 and our Year 6 children read with Year 2 regularly throughout the year.

Sports' Day Links

The infant and nursery school use our school field for their Sports' Days.  During this time, our Year 5 children help the adults by supporting the younger children during their events.

We have many different events to help the Year 2 children become as familiar as possible with the Junior School before they come to us in September.

Joint Project Links

We work on projects so that our children can work together.  For example, to celebrate the coronation of King Charles III, we completed a joint project with Whiteheath Infant and Nursery School to create some pieces of art work to commemorate the event. The two schools then came together for a joint celebration afternoon, where children and parents had the opportunity to view children's work in a gallery in the hall.
