Year 4
Welcome to Year 4
As children move into Year 4, we aim to build on the confidence and independence that they have begun to develop during their first year in the Junior School.
Educational trips include visiting Verulamium Museum in St Albans as part of our Romans topic in History. Verulamium was the third largest city of Roman Britain and the museum stands on the site of the Roman town. We take part in an Anglo Saxon Workshop in the Spring Term, giving the children an insight into life during Anglo Saxon Times. We also visit a local synagogue to learn about the Jewish place of worship,
We link work in Science on electricity and circuits with our Design Technology topic in the summer term. Other Science topics include Sound and States of Matter.
