Yr 6 House Captains
HOUSE CAPTAINS
We have four 'Houses' at Whiteheath Junior School and children are grouped between each one to allow them to collect 'House Points' for their team; points are awarded for excellent school work, trying hard, helping others or showing a positive attitude towards all aspects of school life.
The House Captains are representatives of each 'house', voted for by the children and staff based on their own personal statements (presented in a whole school assembly!) of how they would best serve their fellow pupils.
Here are some quotes from their speeches:
“I enjoy coming to school and I want everyone to enjoy it as much as I do.” Lily
“A house captain needs to be kind and approachable – like me!” Alex
“I am a very good listener and will not only use my ideas but yours as well.” Annalise
“Being house captain is all about leading by example, supporting each other and making our house the best it can be!” Flo
“I promise to listen to your ideas, be there for each one of you and work hard to make our house proud.” Flo
“I’m excited about the chance to represent Hampton and to make it ‘house-standing’!” Flo
“I have experience leading a team in my scout’s troop where I am a sixer.” Arun
“I would be honoured to be London’s house captain and I would lead London to victory.” Rebecca
“I would be a role model for the whole school – not just for London.”
Just like Rick Astley, “I’m never gonna give you up, never gonna let you down..” Rebecca
They are great role models and superb ambassadors for the school in the wider community.
