Art

Our intent at Whiteheath Junior School is to provide a high-quality arts curriculum as an important part of a broad and balanced education. We provide all children with the opportunities to develop critical-thinking and transferrable skills to give them the confidence to express their thoughts and ideas creatively.

Art lessons should engage and inspire all pupils and enhance their well-being and self-esteem. Our students will develop skills in drawing, painting and mixed media, sculpture and 3D and craft and design, enabling them to produce unique pieces of artwork. As pupils progress, they will develop an appreciation of other artists and art movements, creating links to culture and our wider world.
